Privacy Fence vs. Wood Fence
Privacy describes the fence's screening function; wood describes one possible material.
Why the terms differ
A privacy fence can be built in several materials and styles. Wood is a material category that can be used for privacy, picket, split-rail and other designs.
Compare the actual scope
When comparing estimates, look at material, height, board or panel design, post spacing, finish, gates and installation—not just the label.
